Technology Professionals Saskatchewan (TPS) recognizes Technology Accreditation Canada (TAC) as the official accrediting body of applied science / engineering technology programs in Canada.

TAC, developed by Technology Professionals Canada, uses trained auditors and maintains an uncompromised degree of quality control and assurance when reviewing applied science / engineering technology programs at post-secondary educational institutions in Canada for the purpose of identifying whether they meet the profession's approved standards and criteria.

Colleges voluntarily seek national accreditation as a means of having their applied science / engineering technology programs assessed by an independent third party, thereby giving their graduates, industry, government, and employers the assurance that their programs meet the requirements for registration by provincial professional regulatory bodies across the country such as Technology Professionals Saskatchewan.

Applicants who graduated from programs not nationally accredited by TAC will be assessed for registration by TPS on an individual basis.  For a list of nationally accredited programs in Canada, please visit the TAC website.

As of January 1, 2016, TPS ceased to recognize the Canadian Technology Accreditation Board (CTAB) as its accrediting body.  Programs accredited by CTAB are noted below.
